First-time, first-year students are required to live on campus for their first four matriculated semesters, and will receive a housing offer via their UVM email account soon after May 1st. First-time first-year students do not need to submit an on-campus housing request in myResLife.
In order to receive a housing assignment, you must first complete a housing and meal plan contract. The housing and meal plan contract is available at MyUVM portal (click on myResLife).
You will be assigned to a room based on:
- Whether you have applied and been accepted into any programmed housing (before you can apply for that, you must first complete a housing and meal plan contract).
- The preferences you list on your contract (room style, roommate, lifestyle preferences)
All housing assignment information is sent to your UVM email account. See the timetable below for general information. Specific dates are provided on our calendar.
