Each student room is equipped with a recycling bin. Residents are responsible for taking their recyclable materials to the central collection area of their residence hall floor.

The following materials can all be mixed together in the recycling bin: paper, newspapers, magazines, glass bottles, plastic bottles, metal cans and beverage cans. Cardboard pizza boxes can also be recycled by stacking them neatly next to the recycling bin. Individual recycling bins should remain in student rooms. Special receptacles for waste materials including household batteries and "techno trash" (such as ink cartridges and electronic waste) are located at complex main desks.
